Our founder is a former Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officer, with years of experience serving the public as a Decorated PCSO, Police Constable, and Detective Constable in Organised Crime. Throughout that time, he worked on the front line of policing — helping victims, tackling serious offenders, and seeing the very best and worst of human behaviour. But one thing became increasingly clear: there are countless good, honest people who need help, reassurance, and protection that the underfunded police simply no longer have the capacity to provide.
That realisation is what inspired YourBodyguard — a service designed to bring policing principles, professionalism, and care directly to the public. We don’t see ourselves as a private security company; we see ourselves as an extension of the community. We’re here for those who feel vulnerable, uncertain, or let down by the system — people who just want to feel safe again.
